One of the main directions of the strategy for improving the public finance management system of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2024, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (no. 506, dated 24.08.2020), is to ensure transparency and completeness of budget information, and its compliance with international standards.

In this direction, measures have already been taken and are being implemented to increase the openness and transparency of budget data. These are included within the implementation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s decree- (no. PP-3917, dated 22.08.2018) "On measures to ensure the openness of budget data and active participation of citizens in the budget process")- and within the framework of our ongoing joint project with the Ministry of Finance, "Financing sustainable development in Uzbekistan".

6 information publications, including the approved State budget for 2020, as well as for the implementation of the State budget in 2019, have been prepared and posted on the portal "Open budget”. Following an established practice, readers will be able to get acquainted with the basic information about the State budget, the economic forecast, parameters and execution of budget revenues and expenditures, the level of the budget deficit and sources of its coverage and the state debt.

We remind you that all interested persons can get acquainted with he State budget in Russian and English language publications, as well as with other useful information, including reports on budget’s realization, on the official website of the Ministry of Finance (www.mf.uz) and the Open Budget information portal (www.openbudget.uz).
