Request for Quotation - Painting of UN House Office Buildings
January 2, 2025
The UNDP Zambia Country Office is launching a painting project at the UN House in Lusaka, Zambia. This project aims to enhance the aesthetic appearance of several buildings within the UN House premises.
The project will encompass multiple buildings, including the multi-storey main office building of the UN House, the UN Clinic, cafeteria, and the generator house. These structures will receive an extensive painting makeover, covering various types of surfaces such as prefabricated wall panels, UPVC surfaces, metallic surfaces, solid wall surfaces, drywall partition boards, concrete parking areas, kerbstones, and wooden surfaces.
The primary objective of this project is to enhance the appearance of the buildings and ensure they are well-maintained. This will contribute to a more pleasant working environment for all occupants and visitors while also preserving the buildings' longevity.
By improving the infrastructure, this project directly supports SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which aims to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. Maintaining and enhancing the appearance and functionality of these buildings ensures a safer and more welcoming environment, contributing to the overall well-being and productivity of personnel and visitors accessing the premises. Additionally, the project aligns with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by providing a healthier and more comfortable environment for everyone accessing the UN House premises.
