The National Action Plan for Equality, Inclusion and Participation of Roma and Egyptians in Albania (2021-2025) was adopted by the Government of Albania on 18 November 2021.The action plan was prepared on behalf of the Government of Albania by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in close coordination with other responsible ministries, municipalities, independent institutions, international organizations, civil society organizations, experts and representatives of Roma and Egyptian minorities in Albania.This plan is a new commitment of the government including both mainstreaming and targeted programmes and actions for the Roma and Egyptian population residing in Albania aiming to reduce the gap in access to quality public services in comparison to the majority population. The plan introduces an escalation of measures already implemented (during the previous action plan 2016-2020) and in progress and it also launches new activities to promote the integration of Roma and Egyptians with funds provided by the state budget, similarly, identifying the financial gap.
