The “Study on the Key Elements Impacting the Sustainability of Education Facilities in Albanian Municipalities” is prepared under “EU4Schools” Programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by the UNDP in collaboration with the Albanian Government. It aims to:

• to assess the existing capacities of the partner municipalities about operation and maintenance of public education facilities.
• to assess the operation and maintenance needs of several education facilities and prepare a list of resources and capacities required for their best operation and maintenance.
• to identify existing gaps, financially or technically, and in terms of human resources, which impact the long-term sustainability of educational facilities in the country.
• to provide recommendations on how fill in the gaps identified.
   

Sustainability of the interventions remain a top priority of the Programme and this study is one of the measures taken in that aspect.
