In recent years, the risk of urban flood disaster in China has become increasingly prominent, posing threats to not only people's lives and property safety, but also sustainable economic and social development. Against this backdrop, UNDP has established China Disaster Management and Coordination Support Project and commissioned the National Disaster Risk Reduction Center of China (NDRCC) to carry out this research report. The report analyses the current situation, problems and deficiencies of urban flood disaster management in Wuhan City of Hubei Province and Ganzhou City of Jiangxi Province, and puts forward some suggestions to strengthen risk management of urban flood disasters.
