Ensuring Gender Equity in Climate Change Financing
Ensuring Gender Equity in Climate Change Financing
December 17, 2015
Climate change impacts - and the global community’s responses - have significant social, economic and environmental implications, including on issues of gender equality. This publication examines these links between gender equality, climate change and achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, and suggests how climate financing can be structured to promote greater gender equality and women’s empowerment. This publication has been made possible by funding from the Governments of Denmark and Finland under the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA), of which UNDP is a co-founding member.
