Annual report 2022
Annual report 2022
July 30, 2023
To address the social, economic, and environmental challenges facing Djibouti, the United Nations Development Programme, in its support of the government's efforts and with the support of development partners and non-state actors, deployed in 2022 in all regions of development programs and projects aimed at providing concrete solutions in the 3 main pillars of its cooperation framework. To implement these pillars, UNDP has taken care to consider the gender dimension and leave no one behind (especially people living with disabilities). The office has thus deployed projects in the following areas:
• Public policies and strategies and governance
• Access to justice
• Development of income-generating activities for the benefit of women and young people
• Resilience to shocks and climate change
• Fight against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
• Energy and access to water
• Environmental Protection.
The year 2022 was marked by significant results in these areas, both in the diversification of partnerships and in the efforts made to reach a greater number of people across the country with a historic level of contribution.
This report sets out the main UNDP support to Djibouti carried out during the year 2022.
