“Quality coverage of gender equality is an effective way to build a tolerant civil society. Where the principles of gender equality are respected, every member of society will be able to achieve their goals and be happy. I hope that journalists and bloggers will make a significant contribution to creating a society with high tolerance,” said Zhenishbek Arzymatov, coordinator of the UNDP and Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs project “Toward sustainable access to justice to expand legal opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic.”

“I liked that the training module was written briefly, clearly, without unnecessary words, with illustrations. It would be great if we created the same training modules in the field of ecology.” suggested Anelya Marlenova, one of the winners of the competition.

I received new and useful information from the Gender Sensitive Journalism online course. For example, I learned about another form of abuse, "neglect." I realized that I need to be careful when using images, which are an important part of journalistic material.” said Chynargul Dzhumabekova, a journalist with the Politklinika Media.

The Gender Sensitive Journalism online course consists of 3 lessons and is approximately 2-3 hours long. There is a pre-test at the end of each section. After you have completed all 3 lessons, you will be asked to take a final test. Based on the results of the test, you will receive a certificate of successful completion of the Gender Sensitive Journalism Online Training Course, which you can download on the course page.
