“Identifying Skills and Knowledge Gaps in Media Institutions in Lebanon” Report

UNDP Lebanon launched the “Identifying Skills and Knowledge Gaps in Media Institutions in Lebanon” report on January 23rd, 2019 funded by Germany and implemented through the German Development Bank KfW.
Over the past six years following the launch of the Journalists’ Pact for Strengthening Civil Peace in Lebanon UNDP Lebanon, in cooperation with Maharat Foundation, has conducted several media monitoring studies on media outlets that signed the Journalists’ Pact for Strengthening Civil Peace in Lebanon to determine the extent of their commitment to its clauses. Based on this, the report offers an analysis of kills and knowledge gaps identified in employees of media outlets that signed the Pact. It also led to a number of conclusions and recommendations that serve as criteria for closing those gap.
