The report examines shifts in transport patterns and emissions between 2020 and 2022 in Lebanon and assesses Lebanon’s transport sector contribution to GHG emissions during the COVID pandemic and the economic crisis that hit the country. The removal of fuel subsidies and surging inflation severely affected transportation patterns. The report underscores the need to monitor transport patterns for informed climate policies and emphasizes the importance of addressing uncertainties in emission calculations to enhance future resilience in Lebanon’s transportation sector.
