Main results and impact of 15 national parliamentary forums "Dialogue with citizens", which served as a platform for discussion between women from vulnerable groups (women from ethnic minorities, women with disabilities, rural women with low incomes, elderly women, single mothers, etc.) and members of the Parliament, are now illustrated in an interactive map.

The events took place during November 2015 - June 2016. The map highlights top five issues raised by citizens and proposed solutions coming out of the forums’ debates.

Moreover, the forums aimed to strengthening the dialogue between Members of the Parliament and citizens, including women from vulnerable groups, local public administration, as well as civil society. At the same time, national forums contributed to a greater awareness of the role of women's in political life and decision-making processes. Therefore, the forums gave “voice” to women`s needs, presenting the challenges and problems they face, such as and insufficient social protection for vulnerable groups, low salaries, especially for women employees in the civil service, adoption of gender quota in final reading by the Parliament, which, actually, was adopted in April 2016, but also local public administration reform and the existence of a permanent dialogue between citizens and politicians.

As a result, 650 citizens  – 542 women and 108 men – engaged in direct policy dialogues with 26 members of the Parliament during the forums, and representatives of four Territorial and Information Offices of the Parliament of Moldova – established with UNDP support - facilitated the organization of the forums and participated in the discussions.
