Celebrate Namibia’s Natural Wealth Through Art and Storytelling

As we approach the International Day for Biological Diversity on 22 May 2025, UNDP Namibia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT), invites all Namibians to join in honouring our country’s incredible biodiversity through two exciting competitions.  From the iconic dunes of the Namib Desert to rich wildlife habitats, Namibia’s ecosystems are among the most unique and vital in the world. This year’s theme invites both youth and creatives to showcase the beauty of our environment—and the importance of protecting it.

Drawing Competition for Primary School Learners

Theme: “My Namibia, My Nature”
Children aged 7 to 14 are encouraged to express their love for nature through original drawings. Whether it's a lion in the wild or the towering baobab, we want to see your perspective on Namibia’s biodiversity!

Eligibility: Open to all Namibian primary school learners.
