Disclosure of Social & Environmental Standards (SES) Reports for the NILALEG project

March 4, 2025

In alignment with UNDP’s Social and Environmental Standards (SES), stakeholder engagement is a key priority to ensure transparency, inclusivity, and meaningful participation in decision-making processes. These standards form an integral part of the Social and Environmental Management System Requirements, as outlined by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The SES play a critical role in UNDP’s quality assurance and risk management approach, ensuring that programs adhere to best practices in environmental and social sustainability. To uphold these principles, the following reports are publicly available for review:

  • Free, Prior and Informed Consent Process Report
  • Updated Environmental and Social Management and Monitoring Plan
  • Grievance Redress Mechanism Report
  • Indigenous Peoples Plan
  • Updated Stakeholder Engagement Plan

These documents will be disclosed for 120 days to ensure that all key stakeholders are adequately informed.
