Impact of COVID-19 on women’s rights in Ukraine
November 11, 2020
While the COVID-19 disease doesn’t discriminate in whom it infects, its consequences have a disproportionate effect on the rights of women and men. The analytical report identifies challenges and provides recommendations on how to improve the situation with women’s and girls' rights during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The analytical report “The Impact of COVID-19 on Women’s Rights in Ukraine” was developed by the Jurfem Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine in partnership with the office of the Government commissioner for gender equality policy and the Equal Opportunities Caucus in the Verkhovna Rada, with the support of the Human Rights in Ukraine Project, which is being implemented by the UNDP in Ukraine and financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
The opinions, attitudes, and assessments contained in the research do not necessarily reflect those of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, the United Nations Development Programme or other UN Agencies.
