Children encourage the public to support the apple snacks’ promotion campaign “Make Apples Cool”
June 8, 2016
On June 07, 2016 a number of 16 children draw apples on canvas and T-shirts, being guided by the journalist Vasile Botnaru. The products will be offered to the supporters of the apple snacks’ promotion campaign “Make Apples Cool”.
“Our children are worth the best we have. And there is nothing better than our fruits and vegetables. We must give them what is growing in our country and to do this we have to mobilize ourselves, to undertake joint efforts so as to have a energetic generation. A generation full of vitamins will energize the country”, said Vasile Botnaru.
“Make Apples Cool” campaign aims to collect funds to cover 5 schools and kindergartens from Chisinau with fresh and sliced apple snacks, attractively packed, all over the school year. If this pilot project turns to be a success, it will be extended.
At this stage, less than two weeks since its launch, almost 40% of the necessary amount for the first tranche of 4,000 USD was collected. The process may be followed online on the campaign’s page on Indiegogo. UNDP Moldova will double every donated MDL.
“We encourage you to get mobilized more at local level, not only by distributing this message, but also by donating any amounts, even symbolic ones. Every donation counts to a lot for the beneficiaries of the campaign – about 2,000 children” said Dumitru Vasilescu, Project Manager at UNDP Moldova.
This initiative is part of the “Innovative Business Development for Local Sustainable Economic Growth” Project financially supported by the Norwegian Government and UNDP Moldova, aiming to promote innovation in the sector of small and medium enterprises, through transfer and absorption of knowledge, technologies, and communication among enterprises. The Project is implemented during 2014-2017.
