NHRCT

“UNDP is committed to a rights-based approach to development and places human rights at the heart of its work. As a constitutional body, the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand is a key partner for UNDP to promote and protect human rights in the country. To fulfill its mandate, UNDP needs a strong NHRC for an impactful collaboration that ensures the country meets its obligations on human rights and achieves the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, its Sustainable Development Goals and commitment to Leave No One Behind.” said Renaud Meyer, UNDP Representative in Thailand.

Over the past few years, UNDP and NHRCT have worked closely together to promote and protect human rights for all through awareness raising, peer to peer learning, capacity building on monitoring, investigations and reporting. Interventions at sub-national level have also reinforced human rights of local communities.
