Women's political participation is steadily increasing across the globe, in response to renewed pushes for gender equality, quotas designed to ensure space is made for women in parliaments, and more opportunities for inclusion at all levels of decision-making. This infographic, developed by UNDP's Equal Future platform, takes a look at the status of women's political participation in 18 countries and territories of Europe and Central Asia, exploring the intersections of gender, age, leadership, and representation as well as some of the challenges and opportunities around representation and women in politics.
