The diagnostic report articulates the insurance supply side, a picture of the demand side, the gaps and opportunities in the enabling environment and the financial capacity of the insurance industry in the Maldives. The recommendations from the diagnostic are intended to inform further collaboration between UNDP Maldives and relevant stakeholders in the government and the insurance industry to develop the appropriate insurance and risk finance solutions to build resilience for individuals and communities.
