It is a short overview of the outcomes of the climate change conference (COP27), which took place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt in 2022. It covers only the main aspects of interest for Uzbekistan and targets policymakers. It also provides some recommendations for regional cooperation of the Central Asian countries at the international negotiations and recommendations for readiness activities to participate in the Paris Agreement market-based mechanisms. The COP28 will be hosted by the Government of the United Arab Emirates will host COP 28 from 30 November to 12 December 2023, on behalf of the Asia-Pacific region.
