Namibia officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in Southern Africa. Its western border is the Atlantic Ocean. It shares land borders with Zambia and Angola to the north, Botswana to the east and South Africa to the south and east. Although it does not border Zimbabwe, less than 200 metres (660 feet) of the Botswanan right bank of the Zambezi River separates the two countries. Its capital and largest city is Windhoek. Namibia is a member state of the United Nations (UN), the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the African Union (AU) and the Commonwealth of Nations.

About Windhoek

Windhoek is the capital and largest city of Namibia. It is located in central Namibia in the Khomas Highland plateau area, at around 1,700 metres (5,600 ft) above sea level, Windhoek is the social, economic, political, and cultural centre of the country.

When it comes to shopping in Windhoek, there's a good mix of modern one-stop shopping centres and traditional craft stores. Modern shopping centres in the city include Wernhil Park, Maerua, and the popular Grove Mall, which is the largest mall in Windhoek.
