On 25 January 2024, JIN ASEAN, in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), hosted a group of students from the Law Faculty of Chulalongkorn University and Kasetsart University at the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC). The visit followed the Youth-Centered Future Lab event previously held in Bangkok in collaboration with the Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA), which convened students to design creative solutions for real-life challenges in the legal field.

The visit gave students a comprehensive understanding of the UN system, including its commitment, functions, the inner workings of international diplomacy, multilateral cooperation and the UN's role in addressing global and regional challenges. 

During the visit, students were first engaged in a tour of the UNCC, where they had the opportunity to delve into the history and unique design elements of the UNCC building, which reflect the organization's commitment to unity, diversity, and collaboration. Following the tour, students participated in interactive sessions on the SDG outlook in Asia and the Pacific, sharing their perspectives on gender equality, youth involvement, environmental sustainability, and other key aspects of the UN's agenda.

ESCAP's specialists facilitated this immersive experience, Yuanwan Zuo, Sara Libera Zanetti, Christian Mortelliti, and Manuel Castillo provided knowledge on development and engaged in stimulating dialogue with students.
