With a team of more than 180 employees and an extensive network of shops, "Cahulpan" is a true brand of the Cahul region, characterized by authenticity of taste and local emotion. "Cahulpan" is the largest bread factory in the south of the country, appreciated for its bakery, confectionery, and soft drinks products.
In 2022, "Cahulpan" acquired two state-of-the-art ovens: a rotary oven and an electrically operated deck oven. The equipment worth €24,000 was purchased with the support of "EU4Moldova: Focal regions" programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF.
This financial support increases efficiency in the bread baking process, reduces production costs, minimizes environmental impact, and improves working conditions for staff operating the new ovens.
