Summary

This project represents a comprehensive approach to improving energy efficiency in Montenegro’s homes. Background

Montenegro is embarking on a significant project to improve energy efficiency in its residential sector. The initiative, led by the Environmental Protection Fund (Eco-Fund) with support from UNDP, aims to transform how Montenegrin households consume energy while building local capacity to manage such programs. The project recognizes that many Montenegrin homes are energy-inefficient, leading to high heating costs and contributing to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. To address this, the Eco-Fund will offer subsidies to homeowners for various energy-saving improvements.
