Spain partners with UNDP to advance integrated sustainable development solutions

New York — The Government of Spain has contributed EUR 5 million (USD 5.5 million) in regular (core) resources to UNDP for 2024. This generous contribution marks an 82% increase from Spain's 2023 support and underscores the country's steadfast commitment to the 2030 Agenda and the acceleration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

UNDP is thankful to Spain for its support and trust, which are crucial for helping us advance sustainable development worldwide. Spain's increased funding is vital in enabling UNDP to effectively implement its Strategic Plan 2022-2025 while maintaining high standards of transparency and accountability. 

This support enables UNDP to deliver integrated sustainable development solutions, addressing complex global challenges with agility and efficiency. It is vital for UNDP’s mission to help countries advance their national development plans, tackle poverty, and ensure the continuity of long-term development objectives.
