Executive Board of UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS to visit the Republic of Moldova

The Executive Board of UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS will undertake a three-day official visit to the Republic of Moldova from 2 to 4 December 2024.
The delegation, led by H.E. Mr. Muhammad Abdul Muhith, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations and President of the Executive Board, includes six UN Ambassadors and Board Members, three of whom are Vice Presidents, as well as representatives from the Executive Board Secretariat, UNFPA, and UNOPS.
During the visit, the delegation will engage with key national stakeholders to discuss UNDP, UNFPA, and UNOPS programme and operations in the Republic of Moldova and their alignment with national development priorities.
Highlights of the visit will include:
- Meetings with Prime Minister Dorin Recean, ministers, local public authorities, and the Central Electoral Commission.
- Site visits to programmes and projects focusing on local public services, energy efficiency, water governance, maternal heath, youth engagement, and active ageing, among others.

The Executive Board provides inter-governmental support and oversight of the activities of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS in line with the overall policy guidance of the United Nations General Assembly and Economic and Social Council, and the United Nations Charter.
