Facing COVID-19, UNDP took a lead/integrator role in facilitating a multi-agency socio-economic impact assessment of the outbreak on Sudan’s fragile economy, alongside UNICEF, WFP and the African Development Bank. The analysis informs the Government of likely impacts (particularly for the vulnerable), solutions and responses – along with recommendations to rebuild better, using recovery as an opportunity to create a resilient and more equal Sudan.
