Overview
This event marks the inaugural session of a series of four events organised by the UNDP Global Centre for Technology, Innovation, and Sustainable Development and SGInnovate. It will focus on showcasing Singapore’s deep tech innovations and demonstrating how these solutions can contribute to accelerating progress towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event will also discuss how deep tech startups can achieve impact-driven growth.

- Dr Jerry Park, Director Strategy, Merger & Acquisitions, Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific
With 26 years of experiences in Automotive/Semiconductor Industry, Jerry has been working for Strategy for the past 5 years in Singapore. Having lived and worked in Korea, Singapore & Germany in his various roles, his responsibilities spanned Engineer, Business development, Corporate partnership, Corporate strategy. Prior to joining Infineon Technologies, Jerry was with Hyundai Kia Motor Company. He holds a Doctor of Electronic Computer Communication Engineering.
- Jack So, Deputy Director, A*STAR Innovation & Enterprise
Jack brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and venture creation. As the Deputy Director at A*STAR Innovation & Enterprise, he is dedicated to driving the growth of tech startups in the environmental sustainability sector. Previously, as Programme Director of the NUS Graduate Research Innovation Programme (NUS GRIP), Jack played a key role in launching over 120 startups within just five years, personally leading the venture-building efforts for around 20 of them. His leadership has equipped him with deep expertise in nurturing high-potential, innovative ventures. Throughout his entrepreneurial journey, Jack has gained extensive market exposure across Southeast Asia, China, and the United States. As an angel investor, he has invested in six startups based in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Weijing Ye, Deep Tech and Innovation Analyst, UNDP Global Centre for Technology, Innovation and Sustainable Development
Weijing currently leads the work on deep tech and innovation at the UNDP Global Centre for Technology, Innovation, and Sustainable Development in Singapore. She champions the role of deep tech in accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She spearheads initiatives that explore the intersection of deep tech and sustainable development, fostering collaborative partnerships with policymakers, ecosystem builders, academic institutions, innovators, and industry experts worldwide. Before joining UNDP, Weijing worked extensively on emerging technologies, digital transformation, and innovation policies with international organizations including the World Bank, OECD, and UNCTAD.
- Jerry Lui, Assistant Director of Partnerships, SGInnovate
Jerry Lui is the Assistant Director of Partnerships at SGInnovate, where he plays a pivotal role in nurturing Singapore's deep tech ecosystem. Passionate about technology and innovation, Jerry engages with startups, corporates, investors, and international partners to cultivate a vibrant community centered around AI, quantum tech, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing. With an MSc in Management of Technology, he focuses on fostering corporate-startup collaborations and developing strategic initiatives that align with industry needs. An advocate for impactful technology, Jerry enjoys sharing insights on emerging trends and strategies during keynote talks and panel discussions. His mission is to inspire collaboration that drives sustainable solutions and advances the deep tech landscape in Singapore and beyond.
- Massimiliano Bondurri, Founder & CEO, SGMC Capital
Italian, born in France and raised in Monaco, Massimiliano has advised UHNW and HNW Private Banking clients for over 15 years. Having worked in financial hubs like Monte-Carlo, Switzerland, Singapore and Abu Dhabi allows him to have a deep understanding of the global investment needs required by private clients in today’s world.
- Khoo Eng Tat, Assistant Dean (Research and Technology), College of Design and Engineering, NUS
Khoo Eng Tat is an Assistant Dean (Research and Technology) at the College of Design and Engineering and Associate Professor at the Engineering Design and Innovation Centre, National University of Singapore. He is the founding Principal Investigator of NUS Immersive Reality Lab, and co-Principal Investigator of SIA-NUS Digital Aviation Corp Lab. His research and teaching interest areas include product development and entrepreneurship, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), conversational AI and human computer interaction. Eng Tat is a founding member of the Holomedicine Association which promotes mixed reality adoption in clinical education and practice. He was formerly R&D director of VR/AR company funded by Singapore Economic Development Board, co-founder of startup and Head of Engineering at venture capital firm.
