This paper is a synthesis of the fiscal policy chapters of a series of country reports carried out by the UNDP as part of the Asia-Pacific Regional Programme on Macroeconomics of Poverty Reduction. It focuses on the fiscal policy chapters of the reports and treats other topics in as far as they have major implications for fiscal policy.
