UNDP and the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights (UNWG) are seeking final feedback on and validation of a draft guide to equip businesses with practical advice, experiences, and insights to get started or build on existing efforts to carry out effective human rights due diligence in the context of the triple planetary crisis.

In the context of the recognition of the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment and the growing number of laws that call for businesses to prevent and address their adverse impacts on the environment as well as on human rights, UNDP and the UNWG, in consultation with 180+ stakeholders, have developed a draft guide for businesses on human rights due diligence and the environment.

To validate the draft guide and receive final feedback, UNDP and the UNWG are launching a public consultation and welcome edits and comments by 15 January 2024.
