Health Bulletin, UNDP South Sudan, April – August 2024
April 29, 2024
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is pleased to share the second edition of the Health Bulletin, a periodic publication showcasing accomplishments and results achieved in combating HIV and AIDS and tuberculosis (TB), and strengthening health systems in South Sudan through the Global Fund support.
Thanks to the leadership of the Ministry of Health, the oversight of the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) and the robust collaboration with our esteemed partners, UNDP supports government efforts to end HIV and AIDS and TB, and build resilient and sustainable health systems.
Through this bulletin, we show some of the important results achieved, including the successful closure of the Grant Cycle 6 (GC6) on a positive note after surpassing almost all delivery targets as well earning the coveted “Excellent” ranking by the Global Fund over UNDP’s programme delivery and stewardship of the precious Global Fund investments in the country. Other achievements are the launch and rollout of the GC7 grant to consolidate gains and strengthen the national response to HIV, TB and malaria in the country from 2024-2026.
Through the Health Bulletin, we thank the Ministry of Health, all our partners as well as the Global Fund, and through it, its donors, who make it possible for us to achieve these results.
