Internships
Are you dedicated to world development and want to gain practical experience to complement your studies?
Internships at UNDP are a great opportunity for students and recent graduates to acquire direct exposure to UNDP's work.
Opportunities are available on demand in a variety of areas and every attempt is made to match the interests of the intern with the needs of the organization.
UNDP may accept interns provided the following conditions are met:

c) eligibility
- A child or sibling of a UNDP staff member shall not be eligible to apply for an internship at UNDP. An applicant who bears any other family relationship with a UNDP staff member may be engaged as an intern, provided that he or she shall not be assigned to the same work unit of the staff member nor placed under the direct or indirect supervision of the staff member.
Stipend
Interns may be paid a stipend paid in the local currency of the duty station. Costs related to the travel, visas, passports, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students, or of the intern.
Health and medical insurance
UNDP accepts no responsibility for the medical and life insurance of the intern or costs arising from accidents and illness incurred during an internship. Applicants for internship must therefore carry adequate and regular medical insurance valid for Sudan. Proof of medical coverage/visa and medical certificate must be provided before the internship starts.
Further career opportunities
The purpose of internships is not to lead to further employment with UNDP Sudan but, as mentioned, to complement a student’s studies. Interns wishing to be considered for employment with the UNDP Sudan, even if otherwise fully qualified, are not eligible for consideration for employment during their internship.
Where to apply
Selection for internships is fully decentralized within UNDP. All internships are advertised on UNDP's jobsite at http://jobs.undp.org
