November 22, 2022
Bangkok, November 23, 2022 — United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and DHL Supply Chain Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding to frame its collaboration aimed at introducing new business practices that are aligned and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. Under this strategic partnership, the parties will launch various green initiatives to support stakeholders, local communities, and the country on a mission to make growth greener, more inclusive and sustainable.
“Our role is to help countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including through a people-centered and green economy. UNDP is delighted to deepen our partnership with DHL Supply Chain Thailand,” said Renaud Meyer, UNDP Resident Representative to Thailand. “It takes collaborative efforts to build a sustainable future for the generations to come. The private sector is recognized as an instrumental partner in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), an urgent call to action to protect the planet and its people. The sector creates jobs, provides services that tackle pressing challenges, and drives economic growth. As such, private companies take center stage in the battle against climate change.”
Under the new agreement, UNDP and DHL Supply Chain Thailand will leverage each other’s strengths to introduce innovative green logistics solutions. The goal is to make supply chains more resilient and inclusive, in alignment with the SDGs.
