“Qualitative assessment of community participation, human rights and gender perspectives in the context of tuberculosis in Turkmenistan” was conducted as a key step towards strengthening the national response to TB. The results of the research will be used to develop an action plan to improve the national TB control strategy that meets the rights and needs of people affected by TB and improму treatment outcomes.

The present assessment was led by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and UNDP in Turkmenistan, supported by the Centre for Health Policies and Studies (PAS Centre) and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GF) funding.
