In the spring of 2020, the current situation with the dialogue, interaction and cooperation between the police and civil society organizations (CSOs) were studied in fifteen communities of Donetsk Oblast. The research was aimed at the communities being the partners of the the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme in the field of public security and social cohesion: Sloviansk, Dobropillia (including Biletske and Bilozerske), Druzhkivka, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Velyka Novosilka Raion, Manhush Raion, potential Sartana ATC, Volnovakha (including Prokhorivka and Trudivske), perspective Vuhledar ATC, Krasnohorivka (including Mariinka), Novhorodske township, Svitlodarsk, Soledar ATC, Siversk ATC.

This analytical report is one of the indispensable steps to ensure the mechanism of practical implementation of Article 11 (Interaction with the population on the basis of partnership) of the Law of Ukraine “On National Police”: “Police activities are carried out in close cooperation with the population, local communities and public associations on the basis of partnership and are aimed to meet their needs.”
