This novel is about children from Ukraine’s areas located along the ‘contact line.’ It is a story about experiences that people who have never heard a machine gun firing would find difficult to understand.

It is also a story about courage, bravery and believing in your dreams. When bad things happen in our lives, we have to look for ways to get over them, and to help each other.

Even, if need be, to dance our pain away together as a country. Then we might finally hear the sounds of peace.
