BOOKLET: An eight-year partnership between the World Bank's International Development Association and UNDP Yemen

December 18, 2024

For 8 years, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA) have worked together with local partners the Social Fund for Development (SFD), Public Works Project (PWP), and Small and Micro Enterprise Promotion Service (SMEPS) to support Yemen's resilience and recovery.

Through projects like the Yemen Emergency Crisis Response Project (YECRP), the Emergency Social Protection Enhancement and COVID-19 Response Project (ESPECRP), the Food Security Response and Resilience Project (FSRRP), and the Sustainable Fisheries Management Project (SFISH), we are helping communities build a better future. These projects have provided income-earning opportunities for over 538,000 people, improved food security for over 6.5 million people, paved 843 kilometers of roads, repaired 2,552 classrooms, and protected 36,910 hectares of agricultural land. We are committed to continuing our support to the people of Yemen.
