UNDP session at the 2023 Open Government Partnership Global Summit
Leveraging People-Centred Approach to Enhance Access to Justice

The 2023 Open Government Partnership Global Summit, hosted on September 6-7 by the Estonian Government, will bring together the Heads of State and Government, civil society representatives and policymakers worldwide.
The Summit will focus on open Government in the digital age, the potential of technology to make governance and policy-making more transparent and accountable, and preserving democracy. Thousands of experts and innovators will meet in Tallinn, Estonia, to discuss how cutting-edge digital governance can renew democracy and fight against autocratic threats.
UNDP and the International Open Justice Network will co-organize the session "Towards a Global Open Justice Agenda: priorities, standards and tools that better serve citizens" on Thursday, September 7, 10.30 - 11.30 pm UTC. The session will discuss the opportunities and tools needed to co-create an open, prioritized, implementable and measurable justice agenda. Identify knowledge gaps and tools needed to move the agenda forward and empower reformers across sectors to implement it.
Judge Kamonchanok Katinasamit from the Office of the President of the Supreme Court of Thailand will share her experience with the UNDP Justice by Design initiative on transforming Thailand's judicial system through a people-centered approach. The eight-week workshop, in collaboration with the Court of Justice and the Thailand Institute of Justice, focused on recognizing the importance of a responsive and accessible judicial system and developed practical solutions from the users' perspective.
