Helping societies transform with inclusive tech

UNDP advocates for digital transformation to be intentionally inclusive. It is a coordinated approach between government, civil society and the private sector to build ownership, support human-centred design, mitigate risks, and establish accountability.

Digital Transformation Framework

UNDP’s Digital Transformation Framework sets out the most important areas and topics that actors must collaborate on in order to secure an inclusive digital transformation. The Framework places UNDP’s Principles of Digital Inclusion at its centre and incorporates Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) as a key enabler. It consists of five pillars: (1) People, (2) Connectivity, (3) Government, (4) Regulation, and (5) Economy.

Digital Readiness Assessment

The Digital Readiness Assessment helps governments and UNDP Country Offices to develop a realistic understanding of their digital strengths and weaknesses, as understood via the Digital Transformation Framework. The assessment isn’t just a rating, but a cross-cutting, hybrid qualitative-quantitative analysis, delivering in a matter of weeks what previously took months, or even years.
