Climate Change in the South Caucasus. 2011

This report reflects the finding of the first cooperative study on the impacts of climate change and adaptation which involves all three South Caucasus countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The study considers four areas for investigation:

  • Recent historical and projected climate change,
  • impacts of climate change on trans-boundary river basins, 
  • impacts of climate change on crop water and irrigation requirements in critical agricultural areas, 
  • the effect of climate change on urban heat stress in selected cities.
