The atlas includes maps on wildfires, snow avalanch­es, hailstorms, windstorms, debris flows, landslides, rockfalls, drought and earth­quakes and floods.

The publication was prepared by the Regional Environmen­tal Centre for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus) within the project "Fostering Disas­ter Risk Reduction and Early Warning System in Abkhazia" in the framework of the Confidence Building Early Response Mechanism (COBERM) programme funded by the European Union and implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
