Gender Responsive Climate Budgeting Handbook
Gender Responsive Climate Budgeting Handbook
December 29, 2021
The impact of climate change is not gender neutral. Our interventions shouldn’t be either. It is critical that countries adopt a gender-responsive budgetary approach that supports women, men and marginalized groups while mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.
This handbook highlights the challenges of gender inequality and climate change, as well as the opportunities for an integrated approach to both issues.
Prepared in partnership with the Government of Indonesia, it also presents an overview of the processes that account for the gaps in development in terms of access, participation, control and benefits for both women and men.
