On September 19, 2024, the high-level webinar “Building Strong Democratic Societies: Advancing Gender Equality in Latin America and the Caribbean” organized by the Regional Center of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Latin America and the Caribbean and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) will be held.

During this event, the publication “Towards a Parity Democracy in Latin America and the Caribbean” will be presented. This publication questions the horizon of parity democracy in Latin America and the Caribbean, in a regional context of polarization and overlapping crises. A first version was presented and discussed at the Regional Dialogue, organized by UNDP and AECID, with the support of Canada and the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs in Cartagena, Colombia, on May 20-21, 2024.
