Environmental protection is certainly one of the priority areas of research performed by science and research institutions. Research and development in this area is also recognized as a key driver of development. Moreover, environmental protection is identified in the Smart Specialization Strategy (S4) in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2020-2027. Publication that we are presenting shows results of analysis of 274 scientific and/or research projects in the area of environmental protection implemented by 40 scientific and research organizations in Serbia.
