Business Process Reengineering is considered as one of principal methods applied in modernization of public services. The joint project of the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the European Union and UNDP in Uzbekistan “Improved public service delivery and enhanced governance in rural Uzbekistan” has developed a Manual on effective and efficient usage of BPR in public service delivery (BPR Manual), encompassing the guidance on how to improve the public service delivery.
The primary objective of the BPR Manual is to serve as a reference guide for undertaking modernization of government services in a consistent and repeatable manner, thus ensuring the systemic aligned approach towards the business process re-engineering for public services among the government institutions across the Republic of Uzbekistan.
