The Royal Government of Bhutan is formulating its 13th Five-Year Plan (2023–2028), focusing on economic, social, security, and governance development, with a significant emphasis on the ICT sector through the "Digital Bhutan" initiative. This plan aims to boost the digital economy's GDP contribution to 10% by 2034, create 1,000 jobs annually starting in 2024, and increase foreign direct investment to BTN100 billion by 2029. Key strategies include enhancing digital infrastructure, developing e-government, fostering a conducive business environment, improving digital financial services, and advancing digital skills and governance.
