The International Anti-corruption Conference (IACC) is the premier biennial global forum on anti-corruption organized by the IACC Council and Transparency International, involving the participation of around 1,500 government, civil society, youth, media, and other actors. 

This year’s 21st IACC will be hosted by the Republic of Lithuania under the theme of ‘Confronting Global Threats: Standing Up for Integrity’. The conference will discuss governance/anti-corruption implications of a myriad of interconnected global threats (e.g. conflict, climate change, democratic backsliding, risk from new technologies, etc.) that have disrupted global security and human prosperity.

Together with GIZ/BMZ and the U.S. State Department, UNDP has been a partner of the IACC series since 2003 and has contributed significantly to shaping the agenda of the IACCs.

UNDP will be speaking at the Opening Plenary and the High-Level Segment Session with the heads of all delegations particularly focusing on two set of issues:

• How does UNDP view the impact of major global challenges to human development and the achievement of sustainable development?
• Based on UNDP experiences and from an anti-corruption perspective, what needs to be done to tackle climate change, ensure financial integrity for development financing, and accelerate the progress on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and accelerate technology innovation while minimizing integrity and anti-corruption risks from the emerging technologies such as AI?
