2023 was a transformative year for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uganda accompanying the Government and People of Uganda, development partners, private sector, civil society, cultural and academic institutions to maintain progress toward achieving the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

Through 2023, UNDP’s development interventions covered a broad variety of programmatic areas, including localization and popularization of the SDGs, climate action, environmental conservation, renewable energy transition, governance, peacebuilding, gender equality, refugee and host community empowerment, youth innovation and entrepreneurship, digital transformation, trade, tourism, health and more.
