Valbona Ajeti embarked on her entrepreneurial journey 10 years ago together with a group of women who shared their passion for preparing pickles, ajvar (a condiment made principally from sweet bell peppers and sometimes eggplants) and jam. United by their skills and common vision, they supported each other in growing and achieving their goals.
Their aspiration laid the groundwork for what would become a remarkable journey of improvement and the establishment of the ‘Gratë e Sllatinës së Epërme’ (Women of Upper Sllatina) GRASEP company, expert in vegetable pickle production, owned by Valbona.

These were the questions that Valbona continuously pondered, from the very beginning of her journey.

“My goal was never just personal success. I started this business not out of financial necessity, but to create opportunities for women to grow and succeed“says Valbona.
Valbona opened the doors of her home a decade ago to a group of women, transforming it into a 'school' where they could learn, work, and flourish together.
“Our first workspace was a simple car garage, but gradually we expanded to a better facility, improving our working conditions”, says Valbona gladly.
One of her biggest challenges was building a cohesive team, as many women had previously worked independently. However, with persistence, mutual support, and Valbona’s leadership, they overcame these obstacles.
