Air pollution is currently one of the most important environmental risks to human health. It is perceived as one of the greatest threats to human well-being around world, together with climate change issues. As a result, there is a growing political, media and public interest in air quality and increased public support for action at all levels. To identify the existing potentials, shortcomings, and needs that local governments have in solving the problem of air pollution in their territories in Serbia, UNDP and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities performed a survey in the period August - September 2020. 77 Local Self-Government Units responded to the survey and the results are presented in this report.
