Harvesting Change: Sudharshini Rajendran’s Journey to Sustainable Farming

In Sundarapuram, Vavuniya, Sudharshini Rajendran was reliant on her husband’s income to make ends meet. However, her life transformed when UNDP's Private Sector Facility partnered with Hirdaramani Apparel and Lacoste Foundation to promote backyard poultry farming and market gardening.

To draw attention to and address this culture of impunity, UNDP curated a trilingual exhibition displaying an array of clothing worn by victim-survivors of SGBV, accompanied by very real stories and first-hand experiences.

Project

e-Tuk Tuk | A Drive for Sustainable Mobility

The pilot project aims to support the revival of micro level/informal sector economic activities to inject much needed currency into the local economy. In this phase, 200 petrol three-wheelers will be converted to e-Tuk Tuks.
